Box Up Crime
Bulldog Power works closely in supporting Box Up Crime and helping them to expand their good work across the country. BoxUpCrime is a social youth organisation operating out of the London borough of Barking and Dagenham. They work with young people at risk of having their lives ruined by crime and motivate them to rebuild and recapture their dreams and aspirations. They believe that every young person is entitled to a bright future, inspired by their hopes and dreams, regardless of their background.
They deliver tailored sessions to schools, Pupil referral units and community centres across London. In their weekly sessions, they offer a foundation of discipline through engaging boxing training, educational programmes and mentoring. They provide young people job opportunities and apprenticeships as a stepping stone to their future. Box Up Crime has reached over 2,000 young people to date and they continuously strive to reach and help as many people as they can.
They have helped every single person that they have reached see their own hidden talents and turn away from a life of crime. Within 3 years of operating in the borough, crime rates have fallen by 25%. Their unique approach empowers the young person to find the strength within themselves to beat their circumstances and become positive role models within their communities.
